Have you ever dreamed of wearing your own hand-knit pixie-style bonnet? In this 3-hour workshop with popular knitwear designer & instructor Soraya of Yedra Knits, you’ll learn to create one yourself — a simple yet versatile bonnet in garter stitch, perfect for cooler days and adding a handmade touch to your wardrobe.
This class is designed for beginners who are already familiar with the knit stitch. If you’ve been searching for a gentle way back to your needles — or the chance to make something stylish and wearable — this workshop is for you.
Together with Sori, you’ll explore the structure of the bonnet step by step, row by row. Sori's teaching is grounded in both technique and care: guiding you through the details while encouraging you to enjoy the process, trust your hands, and settle into your own creative rhythm.
You’ll leave with:
— The Bonnet Pattern
— The structure of the bonnet clearly understood
— Creative time spent with others
— The start (or maybe even the full completion) of your own handmade accessory
Materials:
—Please bring your own DK yarn and needles size 3 mm.
If you’d like to add a strand of mohair (optional, for softness and texture), use needles size 3.5 mm instead.
—You can use any DK yarn you like, but Sori recommends West Wool Tandem, available just around the corner at Stephen & Penelope. Please choose a color that speaks to you.
Spots are limited — reserve yours and come create with us.
